broken heartMy Heart was just was broken.broken heart

The Angel that I loved throughout my years in South Pasadena has passed away. without my knowledge.

We started out as best friends. Playing pool up at Jerry's pool hall in Pasadena, I would help her with her school work or baby sitting jobs or just hang out at Garfield Park. Bonnie was the best of friends you could ever have. We could talk about anything, also cry on each others shoulder when we had troubles. We drifted apart just before she got marrie, that was a sad summer for me but I was happy for her.. Bonnie Had many secrets but that was ok. She confided with me so many times and I hope that my responses where helpful to her life. I hope your rest is peaceful in Heaven my love.  You were, and are my best friend. Till we meet again.....heartheartheart

Bonnie was a good friend and a very sweet young lady. Bonnie always wore black clothing, and she did have a mysterious side to her! She (wisely) wouldn't let me drive her green '67 Cougar; yet she shielded me from...uh, legal complications one reckless day. I hadn't spoken to her since SPHS days, but got her phone number from the SPHS Alumni Book. She was in Prineville, Oregon, about 3 hours from me. But Bonnie had lost her husband and she herself had suffered throat cancer. She was preparing to move towards Portland, Oregon, and was not really amenable to a visit. That was my last contact with her. I did not know until now what had become of her. She will continue to be in my heart and it was truly a blessing to have known her. RIP Bonnie.🌹
