Rest In Peace Diane
October 6, 1954 - July 12, 2016

Diane Marie Freeman Sardi (October 6, 1954 - July 12, 2016) passed away unexpectedly from a deep brain aneurysm in Lihue, Hawaii. At the time of her death, Diane was the Executive Secretary and Registrar for the educational programs of SANS Institute. She and her husband of 26 years, Peter Sardi, had made their home on Kauai for 20 years. A gathering celebrating her life, friendships, and gifts to the community of Kauai was held at Island School in Lihue on July 23. The family is grateful that a tree was planted at the Na 'Aina Kai Botanical Gardens by a representative of the Class of 1972, Jan Nord.

I'm so saddened by this.  I can't recall if I even saw Diane one time since high school but she had faithfully remembered my birthday through this website and always was positive, upbeat and philisophically in love with life.  We became friends in a typing class because she always made me laugh.  We have lost one of the great ones.

Diane was a kind, intelligent person.  So sadden by her sudden passing.  Life is fragile isn't it?

I'm just heartsick to learn of Diane's passing. I've known Diane since 2nd grade when we moved up the street from her on Stratford. We played together, she loved horses and comic books then. We'd ride scooters up and down the block 'til it was time to go home. To all of her family, I send my sincerest wishes for peace and comfort at this time. Diane, you are truly home now. Mahalo for being my friend.

Diane will be missed, but we are fortunate to have her memory.  I remember her clearly from as far back as the fifth grade.  She was a person of graceand kindness.  Here's hoping that we all can live the same way.
