Back then, it was such a big thing for me that there was a family and friends in a school that welcomed me into everyday life. It was literally on the other side of the world, long before fax and e-mail. Thank you! I have continued to visit different parts of the world and listened to people, when not on vacation thrue work mainly as a journalist. In 1989 I moved back to California together with my ex husband Claes and his son Petter, reported back to Swedish media for five years. Returning to Sweden, I travelled to Asia, mostly to Afghanistan. Since my first visit there in 1996, I have been back 12 times, produced numerous of reports and written two books. I have also visited the neighboring countries in the area. The latest trip went though to northern Africa, to focus on the situation in Western Sahara which is occupied by Marocko. Last year I quit my job as station manager and editor-in-chief on a radio station to return to freelance. At that time, I also bought a horse, a dream I never ever thought would come through. She is five minutes from my place and I basically go riding every day. I love it!
Almost forgot; today I go by Nina but some people still call me Kris or Kristina
