In a nutshell...I lived in Pasadena for a year after school. Went hitchiking across the country for six months w/1st spouse. Returned to Pasadena, went to school for three years. Began doing ivory engraving for a living.Moved to Tucumcari NM. Moved to Detroit MI. Moved to Provincetown MA. Back to Tucumcari, opened my own gallery there. Sold my own work and others. Did magazine and book illustrations. (mainly horror, fantasy, sci-fi). Moved to Madrid, NM. Opened gallery there (Jewelry). Moved to Santa Fe, NM. Then to Albuquerque, NM. began writing. Started my own Wild West Shows and Tours company.Went back to LA to be in movies...didn't happen...moved back to 'Burque. Moved to Las Vegas worked at Caesar's Palace. Wrote and published a book on Angels. Moved to Scottsdale, AZ. Wrote and published a book on Dracula. (Blood of the Dragon). Had my own Faux Finishing business. Contracted Diabetes II, went back to school to earn degree for another three years. Went broke in the interior design business my wife started! Still in Scottsdale. Still writing, painting, drawing and struggling. Crazy life, eh?

School Story:

My best school story is when after the senior year was over I found out that everyone in school hated football, and wanted to be more like me, free-wheeling hippy that I was! In school I felt like an outcast most of the time. By the way...I PUT UP THAT SIGN with the help of Charles Lang! And THAT has always been my favorite school story! We worked for a week on the sign. Carried it by night next to the free way to keep from getting busted for curfew. We posted it to the wall of the gym just before the end of the season game. If anyone recalls it...it read. "F*** the S*** out of them Tigers!" We were So. Pas High's Merry Pranjsters! Hey, someone had to be a rebel in that place!

So sorry to hear about this. Janet was truly a beautiful girl in high school. She was also smart and hip. I've been in some communication with her on Facebook. But as with all things, Social Media falls down when someone passes away. I miss Janet and will miss her. We were never "friends" in school, but we did become FB friends. My condolences to her family. I recently lost my parents. My heart goes out to all those who suffer loss.

This was considered "long hair" in early 1969. As my brother pointed out with a stick.

My beloved Bomber Jacket from the local Army Navy Thrift store in Pasadena. Dig it, I was sporting the leather jacket and Fedora that Indiana Jones would sport years later!

Me in my leather jacket and Fedora. Kinda a cross between Indy Jones and Neal Young I think.
