I may have had the date wrong with 1984, but I understand it was breast cancer. It takes people far too young. I remember Jan as being a really cool person. I hope she's somewhere happy.
I did not know Jan - but when I see her beautiful face I am saddened to know that she passed away at such young age. Often we don’t truly appreciate this gift of our lives until we see someone like Jan who did not reach the fullness of their years.
For Jan I pray: "O God our Father, Creator of all the living, we entrust to Your gentle care all those we love who have gone before us; and have gone to their rest in the hope of rising again. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen."
